WIAT CBS 42 Morning News at 5:00 (A-Block), 7/3/2026 (New Format)

Recently, WIAT dropped traditional morning, noon, and weekend newscasts and replaced them with this format which looks less like a typical newscast and more like a podcast or video version of a radio talk show. The station still does the usual fully produced newscasts from the studio on weeknights only. Other Nexstar stations adopting a similar format include KODE on evenings (which I thought I posted but guess I forgot). No changes to the talent, graphics (MOD_03), music ("CBS Local" from Stephen Arnold Music), or voiceover (John Davenport).
