I Think This Is Peak High Speed Platforming...

Game is called Spark The Electric Jester 3 and it's available on Steam. No I'm not throwing shade at Sonic Frontiers or any other Sonic game for that matter, I think Sonic Frontiers is a good game, but for completely different reasons than Spark The Electric Jester 3 (heck, I am one of the few that actually likes the cyberspace levels in Frontiers apparently). But it is absolutely criminal the game is barely talked about... at all, especially since it got just recently free DLC, not 2 months after the game released and that DLC is Spark 2 levels ported into Spark 3 and I think these levels, especially the final ones, are peak high speed platforming, that manage to capture some of the best highs I would've found throughout pretty much any Sonic game, 2D and especially 3D. It's frustrating to resort attaching Spark's name to Sonic The Hedgehog just so I can make people aware, but the reality of the fact is, that's how the algorithm works on YouTube or even Twitter. Sonic is a recognizable brand, it will sell no matter what. But cool indie games, like Spark, Freedom Planet or Project Rascal... they don't get that luxury. Even if their gameplay is amazingly polished and fun, I can guarantee you, a good chunk of people will dismiss it as "Sonic knockoffs" (I'll also add AdventNEON here, but that game manages to separate itself a bit more despite the Sonic-like iconography). I'll end with this... Spark The Electric Jester isn't a replacement for Sonic The Hedgehog and I hate people weaponizing indie games just to stick it to Sonic Team. But I also believe Spark, especially Spark TEJ 3, deservers more recognition.
