Following the loss of her daughter, Samya, in the Boeing 737 MAX crash of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302, Nadia went to Washington and helped lead the unanimous bipartisan passage of the Aircraft Certification, Safety, and Accountability Act of 2020. Legal proceedings against Boeing continue. She began her career practicing law on behalf of children facing neglect and abuse. Today, Nadia and her husband, Michael, live on their farm in Sheffield, Massachusetts, where they raised four children.
