Exploring FPS Homebrew Games For The PSP

Today we look at some of the many fan-made homebrew games that aim to take full-fledged FPS titles that were made for PC and consoles, and remake them on Sony's good old PSP! These community-made projects made me a bit rough around the edges, but they were a blast to look into and play, especially with how ambitious they were! Sony's PlayStation Portable had some fantastic games made for it over the years. But further than just being a groundbreaking handheld, the PSP became a haven for modders and homebrew enthusiasts. Creating custom firmware, emulators and even full on fan-made games, the PSP scene pushed the hardware to its limits and kept the system alive long after its official run. In this video, we explore the thriving underground and dedicated community that made the PSP more than just a gaming device.
