We went on a 3-day/2-night trip over a 3-day weekend. It rained on the way to Iwakuni, but stopped by the time we arrived and it was hot and humid. We stayed overnight in the car by the Kintai Bridge and enjoyed dinner and drinks in the car. The next day we traveled to Yanaii, a town with white walls lined with cute goldfish lanterns swaying in the wind. Here, visitors can try their hand at making goldfish lanterns.
