The Event of Ashura (10th Muharram): Recalling the victory of Prophet Moses (AS) over Pharaoh. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) ordered Muslims to fast as a form of gratitude and greater respect for Prophet Moses. Main Practices: Encouragement to increase sunnah fasting, love orphans, give charity, and maintain the obligatory congregational prayers at the beginning of time. Double Meaning of Hijrah: Hijrah Makaniah: Physical migration for the sake of security in worship and da'wah (such as migration to Abyssinia and Medina). Hijrah Maknawiah: The migration of the heart and behavior from bad deeds to good, and from things that anger Allah to His pleasure. This is an eternal command for every believer. The Spirit of Change: Taking an example from the patience of the Prophet Muhammad SAW when facing the year of sorrow (Amul Huzni) and rejection in Taif, to continue to consistently improve ourselves.
