55% Say Military Morale is Low: AFCAS 2026 Breakdown AFCAS 2026 results are in. In this video I break down the key findings from the Armed Forces Continuous Attitudes Survey 2026, the official MoD survey that tells us exactly how UK service personnel feel about pay, morale, family life, workload, pensions and Service Family Accommodation. Four in ten personnel are satisfied with Service life (up 3 points), but over half are still dissatisfied and 55% rate overall Service morale as low. Job satisfaction sits at 58%, yet less than 40% feel valued. Basic pay satisfaction is up to 37%, pension satisfaction has risen to 42%, but allowances satisfaction has dropped and 44% say their workload is too high. We also look at the biggest push and pull factors: 60% cite the impact of Service life on family and personal life as a reason for wanting to leave, while job security (81%) and the pension (65%) remain top reasons for staying. The survey only works if people actually fill it in. I explain why your response matters and how the data feeds into the Armed Forces Pay Review Body and ministers.
