WRD Inspects Borewells at Abhinandan Lodha Project Amid Water Scarcity Concerns

The Water Resources Department, along with Carapur residents, inspected borewells at the Abhinandan Lodha mega housing project following concerns over declining groundwater levels. Officials observed that water levels in village wells had dropped by nearly one metre compared to previous years, while natural springs feeding Kolam Lake had dried up. Protesters are awaiting the department's inspection report and have also raised objections over alleged permission irregularities related to the project's compound wall. Meanwhile, local residents and the Communidade have intensified their opposition to the project.
