Aeroporto de Beijing: o maior aeroporto do mundo

Today our tour takes us to the fastest-growing country in the world, the largest in East Asia, and, contrary to what we stated in the video report, the second-largest economy on the planet, second only to the United States. We are talking about the People's Republic of China, a place of hospitable, serene people with ancient cultural traditions. Its territory is continental in size, covering 9,536,499 km², one of the largest on the planet, where approximately 1.4 billion inhabitants live. And it is in China, more specifically in the capital, Beijing, also known by its former name, Peking, that one of the world's largest airports is located. Inaugurated on March 2, 1958, Beijing International Airport was the first in China and operates domestic flights to numerous important international destinations on all continents. As soon as they disembark, tourists are immediately captivated by its gigantic facilities, which enchant and impress with their enormity. To the eyes of visitors, passengers, and tourists, Beijing International Airport impresses in every aspect. It covers 986,000 square meters—that's right, almost 1 million square meters. With approximately 90 million passengers per year, it is the second busiest airport in the world, second only to Atlanta Airport in the United States.
