Chili 1973, une ambassade face au coup d'État

This film begins on Tuesday, September 11, 1973, the day of Pinochet's coup in Chile. The very next day, a burning question arises: what to do with the people flocking to embassies seeking refuge and escaping death? Cut off from all contact with their ministry, French diplomats take the initiative to open the doors of the French embassy. More than six hundred activists are thus saved. It is through the memoirs of Pierre de Menthon, French ambassador, and his wife Françoise, that we come to understand the life that organizes itself and resists, despite everything. Director: Carmen Castillo
