"Czy można zmienić zdanie?" | Dawid Myśliwiec | TEDxPUT

We live in times when it's easier than ever to divide us. We can easily find confirmation for the thesis we've come to believe. This situation makes the phenomenon of "changing our minds" all the more important. During this lecture, I'll discuss why this happens so rarely, what happens to us when it does, and how we can keep our minds open while ensuring it doesn't become a complete mess. Dawid Myśliwiec is a PhD in chemistry, a Polish internet creator, and the founder of two popular science channels on YouTube – "Attention! Scientific Bełkot" and "Wyleżnie Naukowy Bełkot." These channels feature video explorations of various topics from various fields of science and natural science, interesting facts, and longer, documentaries. Dawid also hosts his own podcast, "Przegadana Godzina." Since 2010, he has regularly appeared at Polish science festivals and science competitions. He is the recipient of numerous awards and the author of several books, which have sold over 50,000 copies. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at https://www.ted.com/tedx
