KOMPAS.TV – The Head of the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Nanik Sudaryati Deyang, announced her resignation from her position as Head of BGN. The announcement was made via a post on her personal Facebook account on Wednesday (July 22, 2026). In her statement, Nanik stated that she would undergo heart treatment abroad to obtain a second opinion. She emphasized that this decision was not due to a lack of trust in the abilities of doctors in Indonesia, but rather based on the recommendations she received. Nanik also stated that she had apologized to President Prabowo Subianto and was resigning as Head of BGN to prioritize her health. In her post, Nanik stated that the President approved her resignation and asked her to continue overseeing BGN. She also stated that the President would likely form a BGN Supervisory Board and appoint her as its chairman. Nanik's resignation was also confirmed by Dirgayuza Setiawan, Special Assistant to the President for Communication and Policy Analysis. In a written statement, Dirgayuza stated that on July 22, 2026, Nanik bid farewell to President Prabowo to undergo heart treatment and resign as Head of the National Nutrition Agency. Prior to leading the National Nutrition Agency (BGN), Nanik worked as a journalist in various media outlets. She became widely known after joining Prabowo Subianto's winning team in the 2019 presidential election as Deputy Chair of the National Winning Agency for the Just and Prosperous Coalition.
