Draining A Swamp

Draining a swampy area down to dig a 150' long ditch for another contractor to install a french drain. A friend of mine did the site work on this building a few years back and nothing was done with this area. It hadn't really been an issue until this year with all the rain. I was just hired to dig the ditch and he was going to finish the drain and clean it up with his Case loader. They didn't feel the need to put fabric in the ditch just some pipes and clean rock.
