Sew a Child Apron! | 3 Sizes | Easy to Sew Beginners Project | Fat Quarter Sewing
Welcome to my channel! My name is Crystal and I'm a stay at home wife living a simple and wonderful life with my retired husband. I'm an empty nest mother of 8 (fully homeschooled children) and grandma to 17! On my channel I share all about homemaking, home management, encouragement, ideas and tips to help you live your best homemaking life! My desire is to encourage homemakers in this blessed calling of caring for our family and home. I post videos on Tuesday and Friday. At least that is my goal! These are the measurements of the 3 sizes of aprons. As a disclaimer, I'm not a professional pattern maker. I made these for my granddaughters and am sharing how I did this and the measurements I used. I have a two part video series on making this exact style of apron for adults. If anything is unclear in this video as far as assembling the aprons, please check out my other two videos: How to Sew a Simple Apron Part 1: • How to Sew a Simple Apron: Part 1 | Make Y... How to Sew a Simple Apron Part 2: • How to Sew a Simple Apron: Part 2 | Sew an... **UPDATE** I've gotten questions on the length of the apron straps for the small and medium size. The reason I don't give the measurements is because I used a fat quarter and after cutting off what I need for the pocket, the remaining fabric is cut into 3" strips, sewn together and used for the strap. I did measure the finished straps and that measurement is below with the other measurements Small Rectangle Size: 18x14 ½ Fold in half the long direction Measure in from the raw edge at the top: 3 inches Measure down from the top on the raw edge: 6 inches Pocket size: 9x7 inches (you need 2 pieces at the measurement) Pocket Placement: 2 inches from bottom of apron *UPDATE: FINISHED Strap Size: about 80 to 90 inches. Medium Rectangle Size: Fat Quarter or 18” x 22” Fold in half the long direction Measure in from raw edges at the top: 4 inches across Measure down from raw edges at the top: 8 inches down Pocket: 9 x 7 (you need 2 pieces this measurement) Place pocket in center of apron, 4 inches up from bottom of apron *UPDATE: FINISHED Strap Size: about 80 to 90 inches. Large Cut one rectangle size: 20” x 28” Fold in half the long direction Measure in from the raw edges: 4 inches Measure down from raw edges at the top: 10 inches Pocket Size: 16”x 8” (you need 2 pieces this measurement) My Amazon Affiliate Link.
