SYDNEY apartment hunt… finding my dream rental!

in today's video, we're going APARTMENT HUNTING in Sydney, Australia!! we're chatting all things renting in Sydney as an American living abroad. including: an overview of the Sydney rental market, what we were looking for in our apartment (as well as some "nice to have" amenities), where we searched for rentals online, the areas we looked at, the apartments we toured (with footage, photos, and prices) including Queens Park, Woolooware, Bondi, and Cronulla, what we included in our rental application, and all my tips and advice to find an apartment rental and make your application as strong as possible! the rental market here is no joke... it's competitive, moves fast, it's very expensive, and it can be really difficult to secure a lease, especially if you're moving from abroad and you don't have proof of income/references. we'll chat about all of my tips and advice, and how we were able to get our dream apartment!! I still can't believe how lucky we got 🥹 truly a dream come true! *all prices shared in this video are in AUD, and rent is listed per week (which is the norm here in Australia). I decided to share prices to help give you an honest picture of the current rental market, but that said, I feel so grateful to be here and that I'm able to afford this.
