Today I want to talk about when narcissistic family members switch roles with you and they make themselves the victim - the harmed-party and you the one that is causing all of the problems. Now technically we don't tend to think a narcissist would want to play the victim b/c a grandiose narcissist wants to be known as the strong one, the one that has power, the one that has control and a grandiose narcissist would probably prefer to be viewed as an abuser than a victim. And that's why we have to understand that not every narcissist is the same kind of narcissist. A narcissistic family member that wants to play the victim would be more like a vulnerable narcissist - this type of narcissist seeks supply in different ways.
