A playthrough of Sierra Entertainment's 1999 trivia/party-game for the Sony PlayStation, You Don't Know Jack. I played two 21-question rounds of the game, one from each of the two CD games that the game shipped on. This is among the best multiplayer games on the PS1, of any genre, and retains all the humor and style that made the original Windows version such a massive success when it launched in 1995. The most notable feature about the game, and it's main selling point, is the strength of its writing. It's not often that a video game, especially one with SO MUCH material, shoots for comedy and nails its the great majority of the time. It's legitimately funny, the jokes rarely fall flat, and a good 95% of the time you'll find yourself legitimately laughing out loud at the nonstop barrage of non-sequiturs, puns, and massive assortment of naughty humor that rarely stoops to crass vulgarity for kicks. If you like to laugh, do yourself a favor and play this game. And just think - this was the game that kept Berkeley Systems afloat after everyone stopped caring about their mega-successful SCREENSAVER for Windows 3.1, After Dark. Go figure.
