How opening prep can do the work in chess
Day 143 and the preparation did its job today. Did not play my best chess by any means — was operating below my own standard and I know it. But none of that mattered because my opponent walked straight into my prep and never found their footing from there. That is the whole point of having sharp opening preparation — it does not just win when you play well, it wins when your opponent is not ready for it. From there it was just a matter of being patient. They blundered their way into a strong defeat and honestly it was not close by the end. Dominant result even if the chess was not pretty. Good to be back on the climb. Day 143 in the books. #Chess #ChessPreparation #Day143
