This video is all about the trouble areas people, especially with stringing on 3D prints, getting less pillowing and smoother top layers, and how to use the support blocker. In this 3 part series, I will teach about each Cura setting and show you test prints that show exactly how each setting affects your prints. There's a lot to learn when using a 3D slicer like Cura, so I am breaking down all the main settings that I believe you should pay attention to. First, I discuss how to get rid of stringing on your 3D prints using retraction settings in Cura. Then I show you prints that have different retraction settings so you can see what it actually does. Once we get our stringing under control, I talk about how to remove pillowing on the top of our 3D prints by changing the top layer settings. I also printed different examples to really show you how it effects your prints and how to get the cleanest top layers on your models. The last part of the video I go over my favorite feature in Cura and that is all about support blocker. I show you how you can have more control over where your supports print. I printed all my test prints on my Ender 3 Pro 3D printer.
