We Were There - September 29, 2015 - Delores Hurley & Peter Rinaldi
Delores Hurley worked for Morgan Stanley on the 64th floor of the South Tower. She was sitting at her desk on the 64th floor when the plane hit the North Tower. She had to decide, along with thousands of others inside the South tower, whether or not to evacuate the building. Peter Rinaldi worked as an Assistant Director of Engineering with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. After September 11th, he was assigned to an engineering team supervising the clean-up, providing technical support to police, fire and other emergency personnel during the rescue and recovery at the World Trade Center site.
