We show you how to get to it to test it and replace it. How to test and element? You will need a multi-meter that can test continuity or resistance. You put the leads across the element terminals and see if you have any resistance. Anywhere around 10 ohms is good. If you see and O.L that means the element is bad or you are not on the metal correctly. If your dryer will not turn on I would look at the thermal fuse first. That or the door switch. More often than not the problem is in the Fuse.
