Making a Toolpost Grinder Part 5: Making the Spacers
This is part 5 of the toolpost grinder build series. In this video, we make the spacers that bear against the inner bearing races to locate the spindle shaft and to preload the bearings. We also take advantage of the 4-jaw chuck that's already in the lathe to clean up a register for the drawbar in the collet holder. If you haven't seen the previous videos, a playlist with all of the parts of this project is here: • Making a Toolpost Grinder If you'd like to follow along with the build, here are some links to some of the parts and tools used in this video: *This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated Noga Deburring Set (Amazon*): http://amzn.to/2xMfiPz C20-ER20A-150L Collet Holder (eBay*): https://goo.gl/xufUxa 6805-2RS Deep Groove Ball Bearings (eBay*): https://goo.gl/GuCyHu
