Following a rigorous evaluation by the jury, Betül Sertkaya was selected as the artist. Betül Sertkaya's exhibition, "The Habits," will be on display at Decollage Art Space from June 9 to August 30, 2026. Drawing from both personal and collective archives, the exhibition aims to construct a dynamic pastiche space where previously produced images and artworks are deconstructed. Within this framework, the gallery space functions as a laboratory where the artist opens her own production habits and mental practices to the viewer. On the other hand, this laboratory encourages the viewer to become an active producer. “The Habits” aims to bring to the surface, with irony, the heavy sorrow and absurdity of the world swept under the rug. This is not a search for consolation; it is a stubborn resistance against the noise of the world, against a sea of ​​smoothed-out lies, and a call to build our own rough edges. Starting from the fact that the most basic habit of living is the habit itself, it forces us to question how we inhabit this rough world and what we carry within us.
