Deep in the fields of Eastern Houston’s oil fields lies the city of Pasadena. Built up in an era of prosperity, they would soon attract the attention of developers, and in turn the construction of a new mall would befall the city in the late 70s. The mall would in its lifetime go through a slough of different owners and different visions.. As of my visits in 2023 the mall has made it through that mess, and through a changing world around it. Macroplaza Mall still sits looking for a future, destined to ruin, and left behind by those who created it..
