Let me show you simple triad inversions on the top 3 strings and let me demonstrate using a pair of triad inversions (Only using two triad inversions per chord at a time) Just in case, those 3 triads are: 1) Root Position = R M3 5 = Do Mi So 2) 1st Inversion = M3 5 R = Mi So Do 3) 2nd Inversion = 5 R M3 = So Do Mi 1) Blues Shuffle in A. Shuffle Blues Bass Line. Simple chord progression like the previous loop lesson. Use 1st inversion (E form) & 2nd inversion (D form) on 123 set string. Basically E form and D & C form (shapes) from CAGED system. For D7 chord (IV chord) you can use Root Position & 1st inversions. A form & E form as chord shapes. Please take your time exploring those triad inversions in depth. And think about each interval slowly. 2) Funky blues in E. Simple 1 1 1 1 4 4 1 1 5 4 1 1 chord progression. Now you can use Root position & 2nd inversion on top 123 set strings. For E7 (I chord) , try pairing D form and A form which is 2nd inversion & Root position on top 123 set strings. Now for A7 (IV chord) you can play E form & D form which is Root position & 1st inversion on top 123 set strings. Please take your time to play these triad inversions. Both keys, try not to play any notes above the 12th frets. Keep it simple so you can really understand the fretboard deeply with these triad inversions.
