Testing Ikemen-GO with Amy Rose

Yup, this is what I've been doing for the past couple of weeks. Made a total of like 40 sprites, inserted them into Fighter Factory, and this is what I ended up with. Not a lot, but definitely looks promising (if I can actually commit to finishing the whole bloody thing). Of course, there's still more left to do. I honestly have a ton of grand visions I wanna try to make real, like a stamina system to prevent button mashing and incentivize players to strategize and dodge more, an evade/counterattack system but on 2D (so forwards/backwards and downwards only), progressive and visible injuries on your character as the fight goes on, self-made hit sparks and blood splatters that stay on the floor for the whole duration of the fight, and so much more. But as always, they're still just visions. I'm not too confident I'll ever realize all of them. I predict that if I really locked in (remain unemployed, stop trying to find another job, cut off connections entirely with my IRL friends and communities so I can focus solely on this, etc.), I could maybe complete the whole thing, with a full roster of all-female Sonic characters and whatnot, in maybe a year or two. So… yeah no, I'm not gonna do all those things I mentioned before. I still have to make money for myself. In fact, I'll be doing another 3-week freelance gig out of my hometown from end of July to mid-August, so that's another setback for this project.
