Highpoint RV Convection/microwave diagnostic check and repair. Situation: opened door and lights went off and not power. Removing the front panel, then front screen to access the 20 amp AGC (all glass) or 20 amp ABC (ceramic fuse). Then the removing of 1 screw to remove the key pad, sliding up sightly. This exposes the inner workings of the bracket that holds 3 Normally open/Normally closed switches. Microwave Oven Door Switch Replacements KW3A Normally Open Normally Close Switches (4 Pieces) https://a.co/d/dIVmNLe Typically, the Normally open or Normally closed switch starts to get worn out or guess bad, causing a power surge blowing the 20 amp AGC fuse. Fuses can be found at Lowes/Home Depot or Ace Hardware stores. Usually sold in pairs. Before just replacing the 20 amp fuse, it's best to check the Switches, otherwise you're going to just blow the 20 amp fuse again. It blew for a reason right? In this video, I verified the NC/NO switches worked so "this time" I was going to just replace the fuse. After a closer inspection of the switches, it felt like one switch was just a little lighter to the touch so I replaced it. The video is just a quick visual reference to how simple it is to check.
