Are your Safelights Safe?

Are your safelights in your darkroom safe? In this video I explain how to test your safelights, in your darkroom. Without testing your setup there is no way of knowing if your safelights are providing you with the proper lighting. I also show two lighting methods I have used in the past. one proper one, and one not so proper, and the results show the difference. A proper safelight set up at the correct distance from your work surface, using either direct and indirect lighting accompanied with the proper wattage is very important in order to avoid fogging of your paper during processing. if your lights turn out to be to bright, re positioning them, using a lower wattage bulb, or using a dimmer are some options to help rectify the problem.
