A gravedigger receives a strange offer from a mysterious man in a suit who always comes at night. He is paid a substantial amount of money just to dig a grave, with one absolute condition: he must not look into the hole, no matter what. After the digging is complete, the man always places a small, tied object into the grave with the same ritual, then leaves without a word. This repeats itself over and over again, leading the digger to suspect something is amiss. Curiosity eventually overcomes fear. When he secretly peers into the grave, he is shocked—the face buried there bears the exact same features as his own. From then on, he refuses the job, until the man in the suit reveals a terrifying truth: there are prohibitions in this world that must not be violated, for whoever does will replace the figure in the grave.
