ケチャ（西村朗）　演奏：パーカッショングループ７２ 1995年10月15日　明治神宮内苑 「想像する伝統‘９５」より パーカッショングループ７２　ホームページ http://www.din.or.jp/~ymch/p.group72/ ーーーーーーーーーーーーーー Kecak” was commissioned by Percussion Group 72 in 1979 from the famed composer Akira Nishimura (b. 1953). Since its premiere in Tokyo, the work has become the most important repertoire not only for P.G. 72 but also for percussion ensembles worldwide. This live video from 1995 was made at an open air concert in the garden of the prestigious Meiji Shrine in Tokyo. The players of the ensemble are Shigemitsu Eiso, Satoshi Sakai, Toshiyuki Matsukura, Nobuyuki Hatanaka, Shigeru Maeda and Makoto Nakura. The fruitful collaboration between the composer and P.G. 72 started with this piece and many more masterpieces have been created over several decades since then.
