Earlier this year, I was contacted by Elliot Rentz, Instagram's mistress of self-transformation, Alexis Stone. Alexis was developing what she described as her most daring transformation to date, becoming her childhood heroine, Cruella de Vil. Alexis asked whether it might be possible to wear one of the original wigs that Paul Huntley had created for Glenn Close in 1996. When Paul closed his Manhattan studio in 2021, it was decided to store all of his equipment and many of the most famous wigs he made. I made my way to the archives to see what we might have from 101 Dalmatians. Follow the journey of Glenn Closes's wig from New York to Paris, via a quick London stopover.
