The Pen Pych Waterfall Walk In The Rhondda (I’ve Been Missing Out!) - Best Kept Secrets Of Wales

Pen Pych waterfall in the Rhondda Valley South Wales. One of the many beautiful secret spots in Wales. Unless you are local, most people drive past these locations and miss out on some spectacular Welsh scenery. So here’s another great Walk In Wales which isn’t too long. Pen Pych can be found towards the top of the Rhondda Fawr Valley not far from Treorchy near Blaenrhondda and Blaencwm. There is free car parking at Pen Pych Forest Car Park which you can easily find on Google Maps. The walk from the car park to Pen Pych waterfalls is about a 3-mile return trip and it is not that much further to the top of the Pen-Pych Mountain which gives you great views down the Rhondda Valley. You can extend the walk around the ridgeway of the valley and back down to the village which is just over 6 miles in total. This shows you some more secret spots and undiscovered Wales well off the usual tourist paths of the Brecon Beacons, which can be crowded.
