We begin our journey at Konstablerwache and then walk along one of the oldest streets in the city – Fahrgasse. Fahrgasse has a rich history. In the Middle Ages, it was one of Frankfurt's main transport and trade arteries, leading to the Alte Brüke via the Main. This route was used by merchants, travellers and trade caravans heading to the western lands of Germany and further to the cities of the Rhineland, including Cologne. Today this street is a reminder of the times when Frankfurt was an important centre of European trade. Also along the Fahrgasse you can see the preserved fragments of the Old City Wall, reminiscent of Frankfurt's medieval past. Our route then continues along Berliner Strasse and Hasengasse, where modern city life harmoniously blends with historical architecture. Nearby is the Museum of Modern Art, known for its unusual architecture and interesting exhibits. To conclude our walk, we will stroll along Braubachstrasse and Domstrasse, heading towards one of the city's main attractions - the majestic Imperial Cathedral of St. Bartholomew. Here you can especially feel the atmosphere of old Frankfurt, where the history of the Holy Roman Empire was made for centuries.
