HIsmelt Closure Project

The award winning HIsmelt Closure Project, delivered by Liberty Industrial, involved the deconstruction of a redundant smelting facility in Kwinana, Western Australia, including a mammoth dismantling and salvage operation delivered with complete success. The project showcased industrial demolition and resource recovery on a grand scale, with optimal outcomes delivered for all project stakeholders. Forty percent of the plant methodically deconstructed and transported to China for reuse. Innovative asset and resource recovery solutions saw 108,000 tonnes of material recycled.
