We will completely disassemble the grille. To remove the emblem, we will first need to heat it with a hot air gun, because it is firmly glued to the grille. It is very carefully pushed on all sides so as not to break. It needs to be cleaned very well. I use MA-FRA DECA FLASH spray, which dissolves and removes traces of tar and glue. Spray and wait 20 minutes, during which the glue decomposes and can then be cleaned. I will use a thinner for paints and varnishes to clean the back of the emblem. I immerse it for about half an hour and you will see how easily the glue is then removed. I start the preparation for the painting with water sandpaper number 800. After removing the irregularities with it, I clean well with a cloth soaked in degreaser, you can use any universal one you have. I apply three layers of acrylic primer and wait 10-15 minutes between hands. After the primer dries completely / according to the instructions on the package / it is lightly and carefully sanded with water sandpaper number 2000 to smooth it. In the same way I prepare the frame of the grill. I start by applying the black paint one after the other on both elements. I will apply three coats of paint again, the first being like fog. Finally, after the paint dries, I apply three coats of varnish. If desired, after the elements have dried well, you can polish with polishing paste.
