Summation What does it mean to believe in Jesus? To believe in Jesus is to have a confident conviction that He is who He says He is. And then by a complete surrender and trust in Christ you enter into a personal relationship with the Son of God. You move from an observer of the life of faith to a disciple. Churches are full of believers. But the kingdom of God is full of disciples. Traveler VS Tourist That's the description of most of the churches today.... A tourist not a traveler. A believer but not a disciple. You can not be a disciple without being a believer. However, you can be a believer without being a disciple. Disciple, real. Believer, religious. A key principle at WCC. We place a high value on life transformation, NOT just information. All instruction, learning opportunities and outreach should be directed toward leading Christ-like living. To move from just a believer to become a disciple..... 1. You must take responsibility..... "be transformed." Romans 12:1–2 A disciple is not someone who just is a bystander around the alter but someone who becomes the alter. "Living sacrifice." 2. You must allow the Holy Spirit to continue to transform you.... "are being transformed." 2 Corinthians 3:17–18 The key to being metamorph(ed) is the Spirit of the Lord.
