Wye Dale, Chee Dale to Millers Dale walk. Stepping stones on the River Wye, Peak District

Follow us as we take the footpath alongside the River Wye in the Peak District. We start at Wye Dale, go onto Chee Dale and take the two sets of stepping stones leaving the river at Millers Dale. Passing below impressive limestone cliffs and viaducts it was spectacular and beautiful and and felt remote at times. We returned via the Monsal Trail (a disused railway line converted for walkers and cyclists). We would highly recommend this walk in this quiet limestone gorge. A beautiful place to visit in England, a beautiful place to visit in the Peak District. Is this a good walk for families? Well, we think it is good walk for families to enjoy though you may need to check the river levels before you set off. And don’t forget to wear suitable clothing and footwear it’ll make this even more enjoyable.
