The Butler Method

This is the official video on how to do the Butler Method. The Butler Method is the method I created to easily add zippers to your bags without having to fold, measure, sew and prep your zip prior to inserting your zip in your bags. It is one technique that after you try it you will use it on all your bags. You can grab the pouch pattern piece in my group on Facebook and I've uploaded it to Cricut Design Space as well! Link to group~   / patternsbyamylynne   Link to Design Space~ https://design.cricut.com/landing/pro... My finished pouch measures roughly 9"W x 6"H. I cut my exterior and lining pieces 9.5"W x 6.5"H. My zip is cut to 8.75" Long and the tab has a raw edge so it is cut at 1"H x 3/4" W (a #3 zip is 1" Wide). The tab I use is cork. If you use cork or vinyl you can have a raw edge and it won't have any significant fraying.
