It is good to seek intercession from the Companions and those who followed them before prayer, self-examination, spiritual connection, and every act of worship, after praising and sending blessings upon the Prophet. Indeed, in order to reach the level of piety, the verse states: يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَابْتَغُوا إِلَيْهِ الْوَسِيلَةَ “O you who believe! Fear Allah and seek a means of approach to Him.” This commandment to seek intercession is given in this verse. At the same time, يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا اتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَكُونُوا مَعَ الصَّادِقِينَ “O you who believe, fear Allah and be with the truthful ones,” it is commanded to be with the truthful ones, both physically and spiritually. Seeking intercession and being with the truthful ones makes it easier to serve Allah Almighty and helps achieve the goal. In order to achieve unity of heart and to join the circle of the Companions and the pious who will follow them until the Day of Judgment, before each act of worship, after praise and salutations, the following prayer is recited with the verses and hadiths: رَبَّنَا اغْفِرْ لَنَا وَلِإِخْوَانِنَا الَّذِينَ سَبَقُونَا بِالْإِيمَانِ وَلَا تَجْعَلْ فِي I'm sorry رَحِيمٌ رَبَّنَا عَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ أَنَبْنَا وَإِلَيْكَ الْمَصِيرُ رَبَّنَا لَا تَجْعَلْنَا فِتْنَةً لِلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا رَبَّنَا إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الْعَزِيزُ الْحَكِيمُ That is: "O our Lord! To us and Forgive our brothers who have passed away from us in faith and taken precedence – the Companions, the Tabi'in, and those who followed them. Remove from our hearts any confusion, envy, or hatred towards our believing brothers. O our Lord! Indeed, You are the Most Compassionate and Merciful. O our Lord! Indeed, we have placed our trust in You, we have turned to You, confessing our sins and seeking refuge in Your presence. And indeed, the final return is only to You. O our Lord! Do not make us the cause of the disbelievers' disbelief. Forgive us. O our Lord! Indeed, You are the All-Powerful, the All-Wise in Your dominion.” This is what is meant by adhering to the creed of Ahl al-Sunnah wa'l-Jama'ah.
