There's A Fine, Fine Line (Avenue Q Male Cover)

Love Avenue Q, love the messages and meaning and humor behind it, and it's among one of the best shows I've seen. But this song... I've always had a connection with this song, and I've found it comes back to me in my life, from time to time, as a metaphor for the things I have to deal with. Even more fascinating, is that the meaning is never the same each time. And it came back to me again recently, and I decided to jump on the opportunity and try to cover it. I tried to be a little more artistic with the video this time. I've felt very unfocused lately. And I've felt like I'm under a shadow that threatens to crush me. But singing has always been an escape for me; a way to escape the pressures and weight of reality, and just for a few moments...allows me to enjoy something I'm good at. Allows me to be me, at the core of my being, and I get to love every second of that. Soooo...I tried to express that in the video through focus, lighting, and color selection. Up for your own interpretation. [Lyrics] There's a fine, fine line Between a lover, and a friend. There's a fine, fine line Between reality, and pretend; And you never know 'til you reach the top If it was worth the uphill climb. There's a fine, fine line Between love, And a waste of time There's a fine, fine line Between a fairy tale, and a lie. And there's a fine, fine line Between "you're wonderful" and "goodbye". I guess if someone doesn't love you back It isn't such a crime But there's a fine, fine line Between love, And a waste of your time And I don't have the time to waste on you anymore. I don't think that you even know what you're looking for. For my own sanity I've got to close the door And walk away... Oh... There's a fine, fine line Between together, And not. And there's a fine, fine line Between what you wanted, And what you got. You gotta go after the things you want While you're still in your prime. There's a fine, fine line Between love, And a waste of time.
