They often have a good message but the people hired to make them seem to give a half-hearted effort. In 1984, people refused to do one simple thing that science proved would keep them and others safer - wear a seat belt. DC teamed up with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to release a comic book where Supergirl tried to get her boyfriend to wear a seat belt.
