This Lure Build Is Made to Win a Fishing Tournament… or Not 😅 | Making My SickStick Sandeel! Part 1.

In this video, I’m building a saltwater coastal lure – the Sickstick Sandeel! It’s inspired by a lure I made 4–5 years ago called the Double Toby, which had a similar slim profile and erratic action – something I’ve tried to recreate with this new version. You can check out the other build here:    • Lav dine egne effektive kystwoblere til ha...   The Sickstick Sandeel is 11 cm long, weighs 18.6 grams, and is crafted from balsa wood with a line-through design, aluminum foil, airbrush paint, and a shiny coat of UV resin. It's made to imitate a wounded sandeel, swimming on its side like a sick or injured baitfish – perfect for sea trout, garfish, mackerel, and other coastal predators! 🐟🌊 Basically, it’s a floating buffet for hungry fish. 👉 I built this lure specifically for the Samsø Cup, a local Danish fishing tournament where anglers compete to catch the biggest sea trout and garfish. Does it actually catch fish? You’ll find out in Part 2 – the actual fishing trip – so hit that subscribe button if you want to see how it performs in the wild! 🐟 🧠 Pro tip: I’m still not sure if it’s the lure, my technique, or just dumb luck that lands the fish – but something usually works. Hopefully. 😅 🛠️ Materials used: – Balsa wood – Plastic tube (for the line-through hole) – Aluminum foil – Airbrush + paint – 3D fish eyes – UV resin 👉 Support the channel & grab DIY lure-making materials here: https://tightlinelures.dk/ 👉 Follow on Instagram for more builds & fishing fun:   / tightlinelures   Thanks for watching!
