Life After 50 in Rural Japan | A Craft Fair, An Old Samurai Road & An Obi

Over two spring weekends in rural Japan, I helped my husband at a local fair, walked part of the historic Hagi Okan samurai road, explored an old town kominka café, shared beautiful handmade purchases from an artisan exhibition, and finally revealed the handmade Nagoya obi I completed after months of lessons. Life in the Japanese countryside often moves at a quieter pace, but it is full of history, craft, and small moments worth remembering. In this vlog: • Helping at a local spring fair • Garden before and after reveal • Walking the historic Hagi Okan (samurai road) • Traditional kominka café stop • Handmade artisan finds • My finished Nagoya obi reveal • Trying on kimono and obi combinations Thank you for watching and spending these weekends with me. If you enjoy rural Japan, traditional Japanese houses, kimono, Japanese culture, countryside life, and peaceful vlogs, I’d love to have you subscribe.
