London's Zero Emission Buses Part 8

Welcome to Part 8 of the story of the zero-emission London bus, bringing us up to about May/June 2024. Part 7 introduced the Volvo BZL, and Part 8 introduces the Wright GB Kite Electroliner, which you will see in service with Transport UK on routes R70 and E6. You will also see the double-deck equivalent performing on route 306 (a route number more associated with Watford and Barnet to my mind!). Also in this video are lots more Alexander Dennis/BYD EVs serving with Go-Ahead - double-deckers up to the high 200s and single deckers now counting up to the 300s! The other new battery-bus type is, of course, the Switch Metrocity, which is seen performing on route E5. So to summarise, the routes seen in this video are as follows: 57, 265, R70, S2, E5, 306, 152, 276, 376, 157 and E6. If you don't see a route you expected to see, don't worry - there WILL be a Part 9 this year, which is already half-complete and just awaiting a few more trips out! Thanks for watching.
