1945년 해방후 인천(A Incheon after liberation in 1945)
Incheon City, Incheon Port, and Citizens' Life after Liberation in 1945 #1945 #Incheon #Incheon Scenery #Incheon Photos #Incheon Port #Old Incheon #Rare Photos #Liberation #Independence [Video Introduction] This video features photos taken by a U.S. Military Government official who worked in Korea after liberation, set against the backdrop of Incheon at that time. The video includes the original aerial photograph of downtown Incheon taken on August 26, 1945, as well as a version converted to color using AI technology. Major locations include Incheon Port, Manseok Pier, Hwasu Pier, Wolmido, Dapdong Cathedral, Hongnyemun Gate, and Incheongak (Johnston Villa). It also features the Gyeongin Road, Gyeongin Railway, paper mills, and silk production factories. Furthermore, the Daebul Hotel, Korea's first hotel exclusively for foreigners, is also featured. The video introduces the daily lives of Incheon citizens, including the current Sinpo Market, fishing villages, and fishermen catching fish. In addition, I will introduce the submarines and submarine construction factory built by Japan in Incheon before liberation. Since there have been many questions... the photos in this video were originally in color (also known as slide film). I scanned this film using a scanner. At that time, color slide film was used in magic lanterns; the Baby Boom generation and older are likely familiar with them. (I plan to upload a video later showing how to scan this film.) However, I understand that due to a lack of color developing technology at the time, there are no color photos, and only black-and-white photos were developed. I recommend watching this video on a TV screen. It feels much more realistic. I have diligently verified the history of Incheon and related materials using internet resources. Since I have never lived in Incheon, please leave a comment if there are any errors in the video materials. I want to leave this video as a record of the traces of our ancestors' lives for future generations. [Introducing the video] This video was taken in the background of Incheon at the time by a U.S. military government employee who worked in Korea after liberation. In the video, the original aerial photograph of Incheon taken on the 45.8.26th and the color conversion was made into AI technology. The main places are Incheon Port, Manseok Pier, Hwasu Pier, Wolmi Island, Dapdong Cathedral, and Hongryemun Gate, Incheongak (Johnstone Villa) There are Gyeongin Road, Gyeongin Railway, Paper Factory, and Silk Production Factory. And there is Korea's first foreign-only Daebul Hotel. Introducing the daily lives of Incheon citizens, including the current Sinpo Market, fishing village, and fisherman fishing. It also introduces the submarine construction plant that Japan made in Incheon before liberation. I have a lot of questions....the video photo here is originally a color (aka slide film). I used to swipe this film with a scanner. Back then, we used color slide film for the refit, until the Bayboom generation, we know the refit. (We're going to upload a video of how to scan this film later). However, I understand that at this time, there was no color photo due to lack of color development technology, and only black and white photos were developed. I recommend you watch the video on TV. It feels more real. I worked hard to study Incheon history and related materials using Internet materials. If there is an error in the video material because I have no experience living in Incheon, please comment. I want to leave this video as a record of the traces of my ancestors' lives to future generations.
