While passing through London in late 2025, I met Simon Weitzman, producer of a number of Beatles-related documentaries and a well-connected guy in the Beatles fan universe. Simon had reached out about his new film project, A Love Letter to The Beatles, a documentary about the staying power of the Beatles fan base across the generations We also had the chance to talk about Simon’s other new film project: an adaptation of Beatles historian Mark Lewisohn’s live 2022 stage presentation EVOLVER '62, marking the 60th anniversary of that pivotal year of 1962 in Beatles history. The film is a mix of moments from the stage presentation interwoven with on location visits to the actual sites in England where The Beatles story transpired in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
