The artist, who brings examples of shadow and puppet theater from both Turkey and the world to art lovers at his Beyoğlu workshop, stated that he is continuing preparations for the establishment of the "Istanbul Puppet Museum-Theater." Karagöz artist Cengiz Özek said, "I've always wondered why Karagöz doesn't have a museum, or why Turkish museums with diverse collections don't exhibit them. I dreamed, 'Can I do it myself?' I thought, just as I created the International Istanbul Puppet Festival, I could create a museum like this. That's why I founded the Istanbul Karagöz Puppet Foundation. We're still trying to raise funds for this, and I think that within a few years, I can realize my dream museum."
