Formula One has experienced many unusual situations throughout its history. One of these occurred at the traditional Monaco Grand Prix in its 1982 edition: in the last three laps, one driver after another retired, always after taking the lead. In an increasingly shorter grid, the one who managed to stay on the track emerged victorious.
