They are entirely within protected areas; the Argentine sector is located within Iguazú National Park, while the Brazilian sector is within Iguaçu National Park. They were chosen as one of the "Seven Natural Wonders of the World." They are made up of 275 falls, 80% of which are located on the Argentine side. A unique spectacle is its largest waterfall, and at 80 m, also the highest: the Devil's Throat. You can enjoy its majesty from just 50 m away, following the footbridges that depart from Puerto Canoas, which is reached by the ecological train service. This waterfall marks the border between the two countries. You can take boat rides under the falls and hike along trails, appreciating some of the animals of the semitropical rainforest belonging to the Mixed Forests phytogeographic district of the Paraná phytogeographic province.
