In this episode we begin our New Zealand's South Island road trip by heading into one of the wildest parts of New Zealand. Starting at the remote Mavora Lakes, a filming location for the Anduin River in The Lord of the Rings, we follow the rivers that lead us deep into Fiordland National Park. Crossing the scenic Rainbow Reach Bridge and driving one of the most beautiful roads in the world, the journey eventually brings us to the dramatic cliffs and waterfalls of Milford Sound. Along the way we hike the breathtaking Key Summit Trail, discover hidden stops, and experience the scale and beauty of Fiordland — a place where mountains, mist, and water shape the landscape.
